Junior Controller/Senior Accountant

Position Overview:

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dynamic Junior Controller to join their team in California. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an individual looking to advance from a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager role into a more senior position. The role offers a competitive salary and the chance to work within a vibrant and collaborative team.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Managing collections and ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Overseeing lien release activities.
  • Handling Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports.
  • Preparing and analyzing balance sheets and income statements.
  • Compiling and reviewing aging reports.
  • Managing payroll for approximately 150 employees, distinct from the payroll team's responsibilities.
  • Utilizing Foundation software for financial tasks, though prior experience is not required.
  • Participating in team activities and fostering a work-hard, play-hard environment.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in accounting or finance roles, with a desire to step into a more advanced position.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to start work as early as 7 AM.

Work Hours:

Monday to Friday, with flexible start times available.
